Wendye Gardiner

Joining our staff as Resident Trainer in 2003, Wendye Gardiner specializes in Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Halter, and Dressage.

2008 Region 9 Halter Trainer of the Year

Loved by horses and clients alike, her goal is to prepare her charges for the show ring.

"I enjoy working with our clients to help their special horses achieve goals which best fit the personality and physical attributes already in place."

Wendye knows that every horse comes with his/her own personality.  Taking the time to know each one is a priority for Wendye and allows the training experience to be satisfying for both horse and rider.

Every aspect of the care of your horse in training at Western Cross is important to Wendye.  While taking a break from the arena or round pen, one is likely to see Wendye brushing a mane, checking feet or just "conversing" with one of her charges.

"I have been in love with horses since I can remember and derive great joy just being in the daily presence of these amazing animals."

And it shows.  We are proud to have Wendye on our staff.  Her talent, work ethic and genuine love of horses make her a valuable member of our team.

Although primarily a breeding farm, we have taken the steps necessary to ensure that our training program is first class.  Amenities available to your horse in training with us include indoor/covered arena and round pen, hot walker, spacious stalls, daily turnout, careful attention to nutritional needs and 24 hour on-site care.

Due to the intimate nature of our training program, openings are not often available.  First priority is always given to our current breeding clients and then to our past breeding clients.

However, we welcome your inquiries and will be happy to place you on our waiting list.
